Applied to simulate natural environmental corrosion

The purpose of cyclic corrosion testing is to reproduce the type of corrosion found in outdoor corrosive environments. l CCT testing exposes samples to a series of cyclic environments with varying conditions. l The QS-CCT series of chambers are capable of performing a wide range of standardized tests: salt spray, drying, humidification, static, and constant temperature and humidity. By programming the above modes can be arranged arbitrarily and cycled automatically.


Mode 1: Salt spray

The corrosive solution from the reservoir is transferred to the equilibrium tank by a corrosion-resistant pump, and the equilibrium tank and the suction level of the nozzle are kept at the same level.

l compressed air through the saturated barrel after wetting to the nozzle

The nozzle atomizes the corrosive solution into corrosive vapor mist, and the corrosive vapor mist passes through the diffusion tower and is evenly distributed in the test chamber.

The diffusion tower is designed according to ISO 9227 and ASTM B 117 to ensure the uniformity of vapor mist distribution; a set of diffusion towers are set up on the left and right side of the test chamber to ensure the uniformity and stability of the large test chamber volume.

Lid double-layer design, with a large viewing window; the inner layer is made of CPVC, smooth, corrosion-resistant and high-temperature-resistant; the angle of the lid is designed according to ASTM B 117, to ensure that the vapor mist will not drop on the test chamber after the formation of water droplets.

Steam is transported to the test chamber to keep the temperature inside the chamber stable at the set value.

After the end of the salt spray mode, the equipment will automatically start the exhaust mode to avoid the impact of salt spray on the equipment and the environment Test box temperature RT +5 ℃ ~ 50 ℃

Test box temperature distribution deviation: ± 2 ℃

Temperature fluctuation of test chamber: ±0.5℃.

Saturated barrel temperature: RT +5℃ ~ 50℃

Temperature fluctuation of saturated barrel: ±0.5°C

Saturated barrel pressure range: 29 kPa ~ 196 kPa

Temperature resolution of test box and saturated barrel: 0.1℃.

Sedimentation (any position) (ASTM B117 / ISO 9227): 16h continuous measurement, 1.5 ml/h ± 0.5 ml/h


Mode 2: Wetting

lMaintains 95% ~ 100% relative humidity inside the chamber by delivering hot water vapor to the chamber.

PID controlled steam generator heater maintains the set chamber temperature.

Steam generator must use deionized water

Temperature inside the chamber: 35℃ ~ 70

Temperature distribution deviation of the test chamber: ±2℃.

Temperature fluctuation of the test chamber: ± 0.5°C

Temperature resolution of the test chamber: 0.1℃.



Mode 3: Drying

The fresh air valve is open, the exhaust air valve is open, the isolation valve is open and the switching valve is closed.

The air inlet of the test box is equipped with an isolation valve to prevent the corrosive vapor inside the test box from spreading to the air duct.

The blower conveys the air heated by the heater outside the box into the test box, thus forming a low-humidity environment inside the test box and drying the samples.

The air heater is controlled by PID to maintain the set temperature inside the chamber.

Temperature inside the chamber: RT+5℃ ~ 75℃.

Temperature distribution deviation of the test chamber: ±2℃.

Temperature fluctuation of the test chamber: ± 0.5°C

Temperature resolution of the test chamber: 0.1℃. 




Mode 4: Standing

l The test box lid is opened to expose the sample to the test chamber environment.

The test chamber temperature is the test chamber temperature and the test chamber humidity is the test chamber humidity.

l If the preceding mode is Salt Spray, Salt Water Shower or Wet, before opening the lid, the device will automatically start the air venting mode to avoid contamination of the chamber by the vapor mist inside the test chamber. The air exhaust mode is similar to the dry mode, at this time the air heater does not start.


Mode 5: Constant temperature and humidity

The switching valve is open, the isolation valve is open, the fresh air valve is closed, the exhaust air valve is closed, the test chamber is in internal circulation mode.

The role of the air heater is heating, the role of the evaporator is cooling and dehumidification, the role of the humidifier is heating and humidification.

Two groups of independent PID control air heater and humidifier respectively, the compressor refrigerant valve constant speed control, to realize the test box relative humidity and temperature to maintain at the set value

Temperature inside the test chamber: 15℃ ~ 75

Temperature distribution deviation of the test box: ±2℃.

Temperature fluctuation of test box: ±0.5℃.

Humidity inside the chamber: 20% RH ~ 95% RH

Test box humidity distribution deviation: ±5% RH

Temperature fluctuation of test chamber: ±2% RH

If the prelude mode is salt spray or salt water shower, before starting this mode, the device will automatically start the exhaust mode to avoid contamination of the air duct components with vapor inside the test chamber. The exhaust mode is similar to the dry mode, at this time the air heater is not activated



Main features of the equipment

The main structure of the equipment is made of stainless steel + engineering plastics, corrosion-resistant, load-bearing.

The equipment uses universal casters + lifting feet, easy to move and position.

Double-layer structure design of the test box, the inner box is made of high-temperature-resistant CPVC material.

Sample platform frame-type reinforced design, load-bearing up to 500Kg.

The lid of the box is driven by double cylinders and lifts up and down automatically.

The lid is equipped with a large transparent observation window, which is convenient to observe the test samples.

Lid opening angle up to 88 °, convenient for large samples lifting and placing.

Dual spray tower design to ensure better distribution of vapor inside the test chamber.

The material of atomized nozzle is acrylic, corrosion-resistant, and the system will automatically clean the nozzle after the spray test.
